NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - Make sure to stay weather aware on Friday as there's the potential for flooding all across southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi.

We will see showers and thunderstorms throughout much of your Friday bringing the chance for localized flooding with the heaviest rain expected north of I-12 in southwestern Mississippi.

Most of us are at a LEVEL 1 for MARGINAL risk for flooding while the North Shore and our Mississippi counties are at a LEVLE 2 for SLIGHT risk.

We could see widespread rain totals ranging from 1-3 inches, but those who experience brief bursts will see higher totals.
