The attack from a Russia-linked cybercrime syndicate that crippled Monroe County’s computer systems last summer required the county to notify more than 900 people that their personal information may have been stolen.
The county this week released a final report from Devon, Pennsylvania-based law firm Mullen Coughlin, which the county had hired after detecting the breach. The report included a redacted example letter sent to the 913 people, 898 of whom are Indiana residents.
