Spain easyJet flight forced to return to UK
An easyJet flight has been forced to perform an emergency U-turn just 30 minutes into its journey. The flight, which launched from Manchester Airport and was bound for Alicante took off at 6pm.
However, as the flight reached the English Channel, it turned around, before landing at London Gatwick airport. Holidaymakers onboard the flight were told the plane had to perform the emergency manoeuvre because of 'extraordinary circumstances'. It has since been confirmed that a traveller onboard required urgent medical attention.
