For those raised during the streaming era I might be about to blow your minds. Believe it or not, romantic comedies used to be good theatrical box office business. Yeah, they were all over the place before franchises and tentpoles took over! For the longest time the reigning king and queen of the genre were Spencer Tracy and Katherine Hepburn. Sure, they didn’t just make rom-coms, but that’s what they’re best remembered for.
