LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A man is dead after a stabbing near the Pleasure Ridge Park neighborhood, according to Louisville Metro Police.

Officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the 9500 block of Johnstown Way at around 10 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28.

At the scene, officers found a man who had been stabbed multiple times.

The victim was taken to UofL Hospital where he died hours later.

LMPD’s Homicide Unit is leading the investigation due to the severity of the injuries.

A man has been detained in connection with the incident. Police say all parties are believed to be accounted for.

Charges have yet to be decided.
