This morning, August 27, my school had a scheduled intruder drill. Our administrators do an incredibly thoughtful job of explaining to the students the many ways our school strives to keep everyone safe as well as the ways students can help in that endeavor (for example, to not prop doors, not open doors for visitors and tell an adult if they see or hear anything out of the ordinary).
