Louisville Metro Police say they have arrested a man after an early morning crash on Sept. 1 that killed a 12-year-old girl and left an infant and woman with life-threatening injuries.
Renaldo James Gill, 34, was arrested following the crash on I-265, which occurred near New Cut Road at approximately 2:30 a.m., according to a news release from LMPD spokesperson John Bradley.
According to an arrest citation later provided by LMPD to The Courier Journal, Gill is charged with murder, "driving DUI suspended license," wanton endangerment, criminal mischief, assault, failure to wear a seat belt and possession of marijuana.
The Labor Day crash shuttered part of I-265 until 8:15 a.m., Bradley added in the news release.
