PHILADELPHIA, PA – A violent crash on Roosevelt Boulevard turned fatal Friday afternoon when a vehicle veered into two pedestrians, killing both the driver and one of the men struck, and leaving another clinging to life.

Around 1:59 p.m., a vehicle heading southbound in the outer lane of the 9000 block of E. Roosevelt Boulevard struck two adult male pedestrians under circumstances still under investigation. Emergency crews arrived quickly, but the driver — an adult male — was pronounced dead at the scene by medics at 2:38 p.m.

The two pedestrians were rushed by medics to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital. Tragically, one of the victims was pronounced dead shortly after arrival at 2:49 p.m. The second remains hospitalized in extremely critical condition.
