The Phillipsburg community will gather for its 10th annual Overdose Awareness Day walk on Saturday, Aug. 30, continuing a tradition that has grown from modest beginnings into a significant community event uniting families, first responders, local businesses, and neighbors.

The free event, supported by the Phillipsburg Police Department and Warren County partners, begins at 10 a.m. at Shappell Park.

Participants will walk down South Main Street to the Free Bridge, where they will receive flowers to toss into the water in remembrance of lives lost to addiction and in support of those on their recovery journey.

Following the bridge ceremony, attendees will return to Shappell Park for a community gathering featuring speakers Glen King of Freedom House, James Johansen, and local Chef Joe S
