Products from plant-based meal company Yves Veggie Cuisine are expected to disappear from shelves by the end of the year.

Due to “unfortunate business circumstances,” the Canadian brand officially closed on July 31, an Yves representative told the Star.

The brand sells vegan alternatives to meat products like deli meats, bacon and meatballs.

The announcement was made in a response to a customer’s Instagram comment asking the brand to expand into the U.S.

“We want to let you know that we’ve made the difficult decision to discontinue the Yves Brand,” the company replied. “This wasn’t a decision we made lightly — it was made after careful consideration of how we can best focus our efforts to ensure long-term growth across our brand portfolio.
