Something a little different today. Instead of a Flash from way back in the Past, this week’s collection of six photos goes back just a few decades … well within the memory range of middle-agers.
Recently a glossy advertising brochure emerged from a box of items I hadn’t looked at in years.
It featured a selection of small photos and brief descriptions of local restaurants, six of which were in Kitchener-Waterloo. All had a connection with one of the Twin Cities’ most prominent restaurateurs — Henry Krebs.
There is no date on the pamphlet, but through Vernon directories at the Kitchener Public Library it was easy to track down the brief years when all six restaurants were operating … the early-to-mid-1980s.
