Trent Alexander-Arnold has been left out of England’s squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia in September.

The former Liverpool defender had been named in Thomas Tuchel’s previous squad, meaning this omission represents a blow for the now Real Madrid star.

Alexander-Arnold started Real’s first La Liga match of the season under Xabi Alonso, but after he was substituted in the 68th minute he was then named on the bench as Dani Carvajal replaced him for their second league game.
