Bob Andrzejczak, a former state senator, has been reappointed as the executive director of the New Jersey Farm Service Agency, one of the few named by former President Joe Biden to be reappointed under President Donald Trump.

Andrzejczak was elected to the state Assembly running with Jeff Van Drew. Both were Democrats at the time. He was in the Assembly from 2013 until 2019, when he was appointed to fill the rest of Van Drew’s Senate term after his election to the House of Representatives.

Van Drew made national headlines when he changed parties as a congressman, becoming a Republican in December 2019, and has since aligned closely with Trump.

Van Drew did not say he helped keep Andrzejczak in the job, but on Thursday made clear he backed his former legislative colleague.
