Well folks, as we look ahead to the long holiday weekend here in Southern Illinois, we're expecting some beautifully pleasant conditions to get things started! We'll kick things off with a bit of drizzle early today, but I’m happy to report that by the afternoon, we’ll see a mix of sun and clouds, with highs reaching around 86 degrees.

For much of the weekend, we're tracking high pressure that will keep things dry and our temperatures a bit milder than usual, generally running a few degrees below average, which is quite nice for outdoor activities. We'll see plenty of sunshine Saturday and mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies into Sunday, with highs in the mid-80s.
