A Wetherspoon pub in Plymouth has announced that it is closed today (Friday, August 29) due to flooding. The Stannary Court along the Ridgeway in Plymstock has said it was hit by flooding with much of the venue being left "under three inches of water".

Within minutes of the rain arriving late last night, the pub flooded, with the whole customer area being left underwater. Staff at The Stannary Court are waiting for contractors to arrive to clear the flood water.

Once the venue has been cleared of water, the pub will reopen to the public. It is not known at this time when the pub will reopen.
