A pensioner was arrested and charged after allegedly impersonating a police officer at a Glasgow beauty spot .
The man, 71, was arrested at the Cathkin Braes after police were called to reports of a man acting suspiciously around 3pm on Friday, August 22. He was charged with impersonating a police officer and committing a breach of the peace.
Police have said that extra patrols will be carried out around the hills in the south east of the city, near Castlemilk.
The OAP is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date. Inspector Christopher Thomson said: "Officers will be carrying out additional patrols in the area and anyone with any concerns can approach these officers.
