If you are a longtime genealogist, you have done research at the Ozarks Genealogical Society Library at 534 W. Catalpa St. in Springfield, and you have attended its marvelous programs as well as its fall conference. Through the years, I have enjoyed the conferences and programs, and I have spent many successful hours using the society’s book collection and visiting with the extraordinary volunteer staff.
As often happens in life, things change. The society recently closed its library on Catalpa Street, which has been available to the public since 1985.
