Mexico head coach Javier Aguirre has named a 25-player roster for upcoming friendlies against Japan and South Korea.
El Tri will face Japan on Sept. 6 at the Oakland Coliseum in Oakland, Calif. and will then take on South Korea at Geodis Park in Nashville, Tenn. on Sept. 9.
Many of the team's key players return after a successful defense of its Gold Cup title this summer, including final goalscorers Raúl Jiménez and Edson Álvarez, who recently completed a move to Fenerbahçe.
Aguirre hasn't called up 40-year-old goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa, who is still looking for a club after leaving Portuguese side AVS at the end of last season.
There is room for San Diego FC forward Hirving Lozano, though, as "Chucky" returns to the national team for the first time in more than a year.
Rodrigo Huescas also returns to El Tri after the Copenhagen defender was left off the Gold Cup roster due to a reckless driving conviction in Denmark.
Elsewhere, 16-year-old star Gilberto Mora is not on the roster as he trains with Mexico's U-20 side ahead of the U-20 World Cup, which kicks off in September.
Below is Mexico's full September roster.
