CLEVELAND (WJW) -- A water main break caused a portion of the eastbound Shoreway to close early Friday morning.
FOX 8's Patty Harken reported the break happened on Thursday, but caused the road to buckle before rush hour on Friday morning.
Earlier Friday, motorists were redirected around the buckled road by exiting at West 45th Street, near Garrett Morgan School of Leadership & Innovation, then getting right back on the highway.
FOX 8 News received reports just after 9 a.m. that traffic had come to a standstill, with delays at about 45 minutes.
The Shoreway is expected to be one of the main inbound routes for those headed to the Cleveland National Air Show, which starts Saturday morning.
