While the Wisconsin Badgers blanked the Miami RedHawks, 17-0, on opening night of the 2025 football season Aug. 28, UW fans on social media were of two minds after the game.
Some praised the defense for shutting out an admittedly inferior opponent. But others weren't in much of a mood to jump around about the offense.
The Badgers pulled away in the second half, but managed only a field goal in the first half, while continuing their string of starting quarterback injuries, losing Billy Edwards Jr. in the second quarter .
