A GoFundMe has been set up in the honour of Chris Rogers, the man from Andrew who was tragically killed in a hit-and-run accident near Brooks, to the east of Calgary.

The fundraiser is aiming for a total of $5,500, with over $3,800 being donated already.

“Chris was a beloved son, grandchild, brother, and friend,” says the description of the GoFundMe. “He had a big heart and a bright spirit. He had a gift for making friends everywhere he went, and loved to connect with others. Losing him so suddenly has left us devastated and heartbroken.

The fundraiser is going to support the costs associated with the funeral and memorial expenses and travel costs.
