SAN ANTONIO — A man was killed in a wrong-way crash involving a suspected drunk driver in northeast San Antonio early Friday morning, police said.
According to SAPD, officers were dispatched to a major accident involving two vehicles at the 16300 block of Wurzbach Parkway around 3 a.m.
A driver in a blue Chevrolet Silverado was reportedly going the wrong way eastbound in a westbound lane when police say he struck a Gray 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis head on.
Police said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspected was taken to a hospital to be evaluated for his injuries and was found to be intoxicated, police said. He was then placed under arrest.
