ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- A motorcyclist was flown to the hospital with serious injuries after they were involved in a crash in Pasadena, Thursday afternoon.

Around 5:40 p.m. on Aug. 28, Anne Arundel County police officers were dispatched to a crash near Ritchie Highway and Jumpers Hole Road.

Their investigation determined that a Kia Telluride exited Jumpers Junction parking lot on Ritchie Highway and tried to cross the travel lanes. That's when a Harley-Davidson, traveling on Ritchie Highway, slammed into the SUV.

The motorcycle continued, crossing the median before coming to a stop.

The 30-year-old motorcyclist was flown to the trauma center with life-threatening injuries. Medics took the passenger of the Harley-Davidson to the hospital, who was in stable condition as
