TICONDEROGA, N.Y. — A flight paramedic who dedicated his career to saving others died after suffering a sudden medical emergency while on duty.

LifeNet of New York announced that Flight Paramedic Kevin Robert died on Aug. 27 while aboard LifeNet 7-13, based out of Ticonderoga, New York. Robert was caring for a patient alongside a flight nurse and pilot when he experienced a medical emergency.

The crew landed at a nearby hospital while LifeNet’s communications center coordinated additional resources. Despite efforts from the crew, communications staff, first responders and hospital personnel, Robert could not be revived, the agency said in a statement.
