TICONDEROGA, N.Y. (ABC22/FOX44) - Ticonderoga-based LifeNet of New York is remembering one of their own.
The company provides emergency care for patients in the air, and wrote on social media Thursday that flight paramedic Kevin Robert died after a sudden medical emergency, while caring for a patient on board.
LifeNet wrote that the flight crew quickly landed at a nearby airport while care was coordinated for both Robert and the patient. Despite their best efforts, Robert died Wednesday night.
AirMethods is the national medical transport company that operates LifeNet. The Ticonderoga base has paused operations to allow Robert's coworkers time and space to grieve.
LifeNet is asking the community to keep Robert in their thoughts and to respect the privacy of his loved ones.
