Shocking moment driver smashes through barrier & stops on level crossing before being wiped out by train

THIS is the heart-stopping moment a train smashes into a car after it ploughed through the barrier and parked on the tracks.

The thankfully driver survived but needed hospital treatment after the dramatic crash.

CCTV footage shows the barriers automatically coming down to block traffic from an oncoming train along the Granowo-Steszew route in Poland .

A silver Opel approaches the red and white arm but inexplicably fails to stop.
