A new community gathering place is coming to Fallbrook with the opening of Village View County Park, a 6.8-acre site located one block west of the Fallbrook Community Center.

The county of San Diego will celebrate the grand opening on Wednesday, Sept. 3, at 10 a.m.

The free, family-friendly event will showcase the park’s features, which include an all-wheel skatepark, adventure play areas, picnic spots, two dog parks for large and small dogs, multi-use paths, an ADA-accessible restroom, and a multipurpose field.

Visitors will also enjoy sweeping views of the San Luis Rey River Valley.

County officials encourage carpooling and shuttle parking, as on-site parking will be limited.

The park is fully ADA accessible and open to the public following the celebration.
