TYLER, Texas — An East Texas teen who was named best actress at the 2025 Jimmy Awards (The National High School Musical Theatre Awards) in New York City is taking her shining star on the road!

Fabiola Caraballo Quijada, who graduated from Tyler Legacy High School in May, will play the title role in the North American tour of the Tony-nominated musical & Juliet, according to Playbill.

"The hit musical flips the script on the William Shakespeare classic, imagining what would happen next if Juliet hadn’t ended it all over Romeo," Playbill says.

The musical theater website says Quijada will begin her run in Sacramento, California, on Sept. 23.
