ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - Roanoke County Police are investigating a crash involving a public bus.

The crash occured just before 11 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Hersberger Road NW and Bluebell Lane.

There is no word yet whether there were passengers aboard the bus, but police say there were no major injuries when the bus collided with a power pole.

The intersection will be closed for “an extended period of time” as of noon Friday, according to police.

Investigators say weather was not a factor in the crash; nor were alcohol or other drugs.
