ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The Madison Township Volunteer Fire Department reports they responded to two vehicle crashes within hours of each other on Thursday.

Fire officials say the first crash involved a collision between a car and a tree-trimming truck.

Officials say the driver of the car was distracted and rear-ended the truck's trailer, which launched the vehicle into the air.

No injuries were reported in this incident.

The second crash involved a car reported as sinking in a drainage ditch.

Upon arrival, authorities determined the vehicle wasn't sinking and the vehicle's occupants were safe with no injuries.

Fire officials remind the public to drive distraction free and keep your eyes on the road. Share
