George Clooney has made a return to the Venice Film Festival following a health blow that forced him to bow out of other appearances during the week. ‌

The Hollywood actor, 64, was notably absent from a press conference for his latest film, Jay Kelly, due to a "bad sinus infection". ‌

His fellow actors Adam Sandler, Laura Dern and Billy Crudup attended the event in Italy without him, alongside Noah Baumbach, the director of George's new film, and actress Emily Mortimer, who co-wrote the script with Baumbach. ‌

Clooney, known for films including Ocean's Eleven and TV series ER, also missed a press junket for the film, as well as a cast dinner, according to US publication People.
