A 42-year-old man from Climax Springs was flown to the hospital with serious injuries following a head-on collision on a rural road in Camden County, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened around 3:40 p.m. Thursday on Bollinger Creek Road north of Crainshaw Road, according to the crash report.

The report said the 42-year-old man was driving a motorcycle southbound on Bollinger Creek Road when he crossed the center line and struck a minivan head on.

The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet, according to the crash report. He was flown to University Hospital in Columbia.

The driver of the minivan was not injured, according to the report.
