BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Each year, HEB seeks out locally made products from across Texas to compete in its Quest for Texas Best competition, and this year, Rigos Dairy in Bryan made the cut as one of the top 10 finalists.

Founded by a family with a long tradition of cheesemaking, Rigos Dairy brings the flavors of Venezuela to local tables using recipes passed down from generation to generation.

“We knew the recipes from our grandma, our grandpa. So, we decided to bring that alive with a cheese-making facility,” explained Isabella Gomez, a fourth-generation cheesemaker carrying on the family tradition.

Gomez told KBTX the importance of sharing their cultural heritage through their products.
