DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — A 60-year-old Davidson County man faces felony bigamy charges after detectives discovered he married multiple women while still legally married to others, deputies said .
Harry Irvine Burdick Jr. came under investigation in April 2025 after a report flagged possible bigamy.
Investigators found he held three marriage licenses with three different women in Lincoln, Davidson, and Guilford counties, but no divorces were finalized between the marriages.
Authorities said Burdick’s actions were motivated by personal gain and financial benefit. He was arrested on August 22 and charged with two counts of felony bigamy.
Burdick was released on a promise to appear in court. His first hearing is scheduled for September 22, at the Davidson County Courthouse, deputies said.
