The case against a Farmington Hills man facing criminal charges after an alleged domestic incident led to an armed standoff with police is proceeding in Oakland County Circuit Court after he waved a district court preliminary exam.
Aaron Gilmore, 40, is charged with discharge of a firearm in a building and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person for the May 25 incident at a home in the 26000 block of Barbados Road. According to the Farmington Police Department, officers responded at around 9 p.m. that day to a 911 call from Gilmore’s mother who reportedly said he was out of control and possibly having a mental health issue.
On Aug. 29, the case was bound over after Gilmore opted out of a scheduled preliminary exam in 47th District Court. He’s to be arraigned in the higher court on
