A nursery teacher, who raped and drowned her boyfriend's four-year-old daughter , sent a chilling message to him before the attack. ‌

Amber Lee Hughes was convicted of the rape and murder of little Nada-Jane Challita, the daughter of her former partner, Elie Challita. ‌

The court in Johannesburg, South Africa , heard how she killed the child while her dad was out of town. ‌

She accused him of being unfaithful and then sent him a chilling message saying: "You broke my heart; I’m going to burn yours. How could you do that to me?"

Hughes forced Nada-Jane's head underwater in the bathtub and sat on her as she struggled to escape, reports the Mirror .

A post-mortem later revealed that she had been raped twice before being drowned. ‌
