The backlog at the gates has cleared and the weather is predicted to cooperate during Burning Man's most iconic events.

Late this morning, wait times at Burning Man's main gate were reported at 20 minutes, roughly near the baseline for the event.

More than 65,000 of the expected 70,000 people at Black Rock City were on site as of Aug. 28, organizers said.

Pershing County Sheriff Jerry Allen said the rain this week kept law enforcement busy, including with "interpersonal tension amongst Burning Man participants, some of which required law enforcement intervention."

Arrests at Burning Man stood at 27 on Aug. 27, Allen said. The majority were for drug possession or sales.
