Canada’s Olympic orientation camp concluded on Thursday, but Edmonton Oilers forward Connor McDavid continues to remain in Calgary.
McDavid was one of 42 NHL players who gathered in Calgary this week to take part in Hockey Canada’s Olympic orientation camp in preparation for Milano Cortina 2026. The Oilers captain was arguably the biggest draw of the star-studded cast, as his future in Edmonton continues to remain a question mark as he gets to enter the final year of his contract.
When speaking with reporters, the 28-year-old made it clear that he wants to win in Edmonton and is in no rush to sign an extension. He seemed quite relaxed about the entire ordeal, and based on what we saw on Friday morning, that appears to be the case.
