With the announcement of _Sullivan's Crossing _Season 4, the beloved show filmed and set in Nova Scotia, we have a lot of gratitude and admiration for the work of the show's creator and showrunner, Roma Roth. Between _Sullivan's Crossing_ and _Virgin River_ on Netflix, both a collaboration with author Robyn Carr, Roth is a leading voice in romance dramas.

Originally from London, Ont., Roth's path to creating incredibly captivating television had an interesting start. She studied anthropology and did a masters in primatology, becoming a behaviourist, and instead of a traditional thesis, she wanted to make a documentary on bonobos.
