Friday morning was mostly cloudy to overcast across central and south Alabama. Rain was in the mix, mainly near and south of highway 80 and Interstate 85. That may be where most of the rain remains Friday afternoon. Temperatures remain cool as a result of widespread clouds and rain, with high temperatures just in the upper 70s to low 80s. Spotty showers remain possible Friday evening and night, with a mostly cloudy sky and lows in the upper 60s otherwise.

Labor Day weekend looks partly to mostly cloudy, with scattered showers and perhaps some storms. Saturday and Sunday feature the better chances for rain, but some sunshine in rain-free locations may allow temperatures to warm into the mid and upper 80s.
