WESTON, W.Va. (WV News) — Two of Lewis County's annual festivities have returned for Labor Day weekend.
The Jackson's Mill Jubilee and the Jane Lew Fireman's Festival began their celebrations on Friday. Both events saw hundreds of people show up to support the vendors set up at each location.
The Jackson's Mill Jubilee celebrated the first day of its event by inviting people from across the state to listen to music, visit crafters and learn about history.
The gates officially opened at noon, but several people were already showing up in advance to see the attractions and enjoy the good weather, said Debbie Garrett, adviser and assistant craft chair for the Jubilee.
"We've already got people coming in here," she said. "We have our wagons and golf carts running and the weather is perfect
