Police in Lambton County are investigating a two-vehicle collision on Hwy. 40 that left a pickup truck driver with life-threatening injuries.
The collision between the pickup truck and a tractor-trailer rig occurred Thursday about 1:45 p.m. on the highway, south of Oil Springs Line.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 46-year-old from Welland, was flown to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured, the OPP said.
A stretch of the highway that was closed to allow for the investigation, between Courtright and Bickford lines, has since re-opened.
