SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - The Springfield DPW are warning drivers that there are two events they need to keep on their radar if planning to drive through downtown next weekend.

The first event is the annual Ride to Remember, which will kick-off Saturday, September 6 at 8 a.m. on Boland Way. Between 400 and 500 riders will take to the streets with stops throughout Springfield, East Longmeadow, and Riverfront Park in Hartford. The riders are due to return to Tower Square around 4 p.m.

The Basketball Hall of Fame enshrinement ceremony will be held later that day and begin around 6 p.m. with a red carpet walk starting at Tower Square. It’ll go along along East Columbus Avenue, all the way to the enshrinement event at Symphony Hall, which runs from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
