Police have charged a city man with stabbing three people on the Calgary Stampede midway during last month’s exhibition.

Around 11:05 p.m. on July 8, officers responded to a report of a man in medical distress near the Euroslide at Stampede Park.

Soon after, an injured youth was found at 17th Avenue and Macleod Trail. S.E. and a man in medical distress was located at Erlton Street and 27th Avenue S.E., the Calgary Police Service said.

“Investigators confirmed all three individuals were victims of the same stabbing incident near the Euroslide. The two additional victims were taken to hospital in serious but stable condition,” Calgary police said in a press release.
