An Aberdeenshire teen has opened up on how children's trauma charity Bairns Hoose helped her re-find her confidence following an abusive relationship, as the region is set to receive their own support centre.
The Bairns Hoose aims to reduce the trauma children face when navigating the child protection and justice systems by bringing the support they need together under one roof.
Designed with trauma-sensitive principles, by local children and young people, the Hoose offers a safe environment where children can participate in child protection processes and begin their journey of healing. Families will also receive support to understand what their child has experienced and how best to help them recover.
It has been developed in partnership with Aberdeenshire Council Children’s Service
