MONCKS CORNER — A deputy with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office was fired for an alleged indecent exposure incident in Mount Pleasant.

Former Deputy Jeffrey Wilson, 62, was charged with indecent exposure on Aug. 28, jail records show . He posted a $5,000 bond and was released from custody the same day.

Cpl. Carli Carr, the spokesperson for the sheriff’s office, said the agency was “made aware of a criminal investigation that was ongoing.” Due to the “seriousness of the allegations,” Wilson’s employment was terminated on Aug. 21, she said.
