Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio finalized layoffs the reproductive care provider says it was forced into following sharp federal funding cuts.
A longtime target of Republican lawmakers, the organization estimates it will save over $1 million from 20 staff reductions, though they're still facing a projected $10 million in revenue loss due to Medicaid defunding from the July reconciliation bill and a loss of Title X funding.
“We are at a critical juncture where we must ensure Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio can survive and hold strong against the ongoing attacks of the Trump administration. We did everything we could to avoid layoffs. But the reality is, we’re facing serious financial challenges," Erica Wilson-Domer, president and chief executive officer of PPGOH, said in a statement
