MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) -- As summer winds down, Grand Strand beach-goers will be able take advantage of some relaxed rules that traditionally go into effect after the Labor Day holiday.

Here are some of the changes.

MYRTLE BEACH

Starting on Tuesday and continuing through May 1, dogs and bicycles will be permitted on the beach and Myrtle Beach Boardwalk at any time. Dogs must be leashed, and owners are required to clean up after their pets.

Tents and shading devices up to 12-by-12 square feet are allowed after Labor Day. They must be placed in line with, or behind, the established umbrella line.
