GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Action 2 News Aisha Morales spent some time sifting through different colleges and universities and found they all have their own safety and security protocols to help keep students safe.

UW-Green Bay has what it calls the Safe Walk Program. The website says if you are alone, UWGB Police officers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to walk with you to your destination on campus.

Other UW campuses have similar programs, like UW-Oshkosh, UW Stevens Point, and UW Eau Claire.

It’s a good idea to see if your college has a program like this. Learn about your school’s safety services, like campus alerts you can get on your phone.

Always secure your belongings, locking windows and doors to your dorm room or apartment. Avoid sharing your location or other person
