Dickson Mayor Don L. Weiss Jr. has signed a proclamation declaring September as Suicide Prevention Awareness Month in the city.

He was joined for the signing by Drug Free Dickson Coalition Coordinator Spencer Earhart and Coalition Director Karrie Thompson, who also volunteers with the Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network.

The city encourages residents to seek help if they or someone they know is struggling. The 24-hour Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is available by calling 988. Additional resources can be found at www.tspn.org
